ABOUT ALL AMERICAN WHY
All American Why is a podcast for people who are tired of noise, tired of political theater, and tired of pretending that the United States is functioning as intended. Each episode explores a single big question about American culture, politics, identity, and power. The show creates space for curiosity, discomfort, humor, and honest reflection. Its tone is patriotic with a wink, skeptical with heart, and rooted in the belief that loving America means expecting more from it and asking it to grow.

ABOUT THE HOST
All American Why is hosted by Michael Jonas, JD, MBA, a business lawyer, community builder, former congressional candidate, and someone who genuinely loves America enough to critique it honestly. Michael has spent his career supporting nonprofits, small businesses, and community organizations. He approaches politics and policy through the lived experiences of everyday people who deserve systems that work.
He is known for blending critical thinking with humor, directness, and a willingness to ask uncomfortable questions. Michael believes that real patriotism includes nuance, accountability, and the courage to confront hard truths.

A LARGER MISSION
At its core, All American Why exists to reclaim critical thinking, nuance, and real conversations. The show rejects shallow debates, cheap outrage, and oversimplified narratives. It embraces complexity and acknowledges that meaningful conversations are sometimes painful. That discomfort is not a flaw. It is the doorway to understanding and the starting point for change.

Michael brings experience from law, advocacy, community engagement, and his own run for Congress. He believes that honest critique is a form of love and that challenging the status quo is a civic responsibility.

A COMMUNITY OF EXCESSIVE THINKERS
All American Why is building a community of people who still give a damn about the country and about one another. This community is proudly known as the Excessive Thinkers. The audience includes policy enthusiasts, frustrated voters, recovering optimists, and anyone who enjoys laughing and learning at the same time.

The show aims to create a space for thoughtfulness, accountability, and the occasional patriotic spiral, all grounded in the idea that loving America means wanting it to reach its promise and being willing to explore what it will take to get there.
